Getting Lit in the Island of Puerto Rico

CINEMILLS SUFA BULLET and SILVER BULLETS was recently spotted in the island of, Puerto Rico. CINEMILLS TX / Shooters Film USA / Pelon Brothers used it in their shoots. Here are some behind the scenes with the light fixtures in action!

Weighing only 73 lbs. and drawing only 7.3A at 110V, the Sufa Bullet™, with a patented silver optical system, is one of the most powerful LED fixtures on the market. Comparable output to a 4K HMI fresnel the Sufa Bullet requires no ballast, and no HMI globe. The Sufa Bullet has a lifespan of 50,000 hrs. (77° F) which equates to a cost savings of approximately $130K in HMI globe replacement. The name Sufa Bullet is in reference to the of Speed and Strength of the SUFA (STORM) F-16 fighter jets, and the American tradition of performance excellence. An HMI lamp uses mercury vapor mixed with metal halides in a quartz-glass envelope, with two tungsten electrodes of medium arc separation. Unlike traditional lighting units using incandescent light bulbs, HMIs need electrical ballasts, which are separated from the head via a header cable, to limit current and supply the proper voltage. The lamp operates by creating an electrical arc between two electrodes within the bulb that excites the pressurized mercury vapor and metal halides, and provides very high light output with greater efficacy than incandescent lighting units. The efficiency advantage is near four fold, with approximately 85–108 lumens per watt of electricity. Unlike tungsten-halogen lamps where the halide gas is used to regenerate the filament and keep the evaporated tungsten from darkening, the mercury vapor and the metal halides in HMI lamps are what emit the light. The high CRI and color temperature are due to the specific lamp chemistries.

In recent interview, Paul Crouch Jr. sat down with, Mario DeMatteo – Publisher and Founder.

Mario received his MA in Comparative Literature and Writing from California State University of San Marcos. During his MA program, God put it on his heart to begin work on Paul the Apostle: A Graphic Novel, the first book published by Beartruth Collectve. That was the beginning of a five year journey and the founding of Beartruth Collective. Mario is passionate about storytelling and the power of art as a means of spreading the Good News of Jesus. He volunteers for Joni & Friends San Diego. Mario is an avid collector of comic books, vinyl records, obscure garage sale trinkets, and edible plants. He also loves urban farming with his wiener dog Rambo. Mario currently attends Grace Presbyterian Neighborhood Church in Vista, California.

BTS: The Grounds Movie

Powerful lights meets powerful machine, a tank! On the set of 'The Grounds' Cinematographer, Mark David shares with us behind the scenes from set. In the video below (wait for it...) a tank rolls through a wall, apparently three times!

The Grounds is currently shooting, from their IMDb page the film is slated to be released in, 2017.

To location shoot is owned by the talented, Penn Jillette. Mr. Jillette is an American magician, juggler, comedian, musician, inventor, actor, and best-selling author known for his work with fellow magician Teller as half of the team Penn & Teller

Katie Mcauley Rocks the House at Lucky Strike

CINEMILLS' star, Katie Mcauley energizes the night at Lucky Strike - L.A. Live. Her performance this week was also celebrated with her 29th birthday!

CINEMILLS also sponsored the event with several LED lights, the CINESOFTS. Lighting up the red carpets (stand and repeat) as well as the runway from the fashion show.

The CINESOFT 50, 100, & 200 Watt Studio LED lighting systems are designed for the most discerning motion picture production and broadcast studio professionals. They generate up to 20,000 lumens of high spectral quality light and are fully dimmable from 100% to off 0%. Dimming functionality is in 5% increments for fine-grain interactive lighting control without flicker or color shift. These units are lightweight for under slinging in grids yet were built to last in rugged rental environments. Color temperature (Kelvin) range between 3200K and 5600K. It has the output of a 4K HMI, flicker free, cool to the touch and draws a meagre 7 amps (in other words you can plug a couple into your wall outlets).
